(More customer reviews)This is a gorgeous and well-designed fan.The manufacturer has used quality materials to achieve first-rate performance and a beautiful look.I anticipate that it will provide my family with many years of faithful service, and draw numerous compliments for its dramatic appearance.There's just one little problem:for the first few days after installation, it SMELLS.It's not an "electrical" or "burning wires" smell, but a smell that is vaguely reminiscent of a magic marker.After doing a bit of googling, I found that this problem is rather widespread by customers who have purchased Hunter fans over the past several years.The general consensus was that apparently during production, they use either a chemical dip or some other process which coats the fan motor and takes awhile to "burn off."This supposedly creates the smell.I contacted Hunter Customer Service several times about this.The first rep contended that she had never heard of this particular problem, and said I could return the fan for a replacement.(It was at this point I did the googling.)I then contacted Hunter again and the second rep said he usually told customers who called with this complaint that the smell should go away "after 24-48 hours" of fan operation.I found this to be the case (although after about a week, I still smell the faintest hint of magic marker after running the fan on high only.It's nowhere near as noticeable as when first installed).When I browsed the internet for the best deal before I made my purchase from Amazon.com, I noticed that most merchants were offering a great price--and one even had the fan marked for "clearance."Now - after the fact - I'm wondering whether this was as a result of customer complaints about the smell.In any event - I'm keeping the fan for the reasons I mentioned in the first three sentences of this review.However, I can't give it a 5-star recommendation.

The $269.00 Three Angels Candle I bought had one Angel.The original box was busted open, the plastic wrapping on the candle was ripped open, and filled with broken blue glass.The one angel left on the candle had a smashed wing, the back of the candle had a long vertical gouge where it appears an Angel was pried off.There are other smashed/cut wax spots where another Angel appears to be hacked off.I have contacted the manufacturer to determine if there were supposed to be three sides with Angels on the Three Angel Candle.For the price it is what I expected.Despite the ruined condition of the candle, how do you explain the broken fragments of blue glass scattered in the box and inside the candle wrapping that frightened my wife and daughter?I cannot believe it is the manufacturer. Another online violation, what a shame.The candle as depicted was exactly what I was looking for as a symbol of a loving sister lost young to cancer.I wish I'd found the manufacturer sooner and ordered from them.

(More customer reviews)this is your unit! I like it like a meat locker in my bedroom, and this unit does the trick. I had intially bought a Kenmore 12,000 BTU based on Consumer Reports and found that it blew cool air, and was quiet, but I wanted cold, icy-like air. I live in South Texas as well and have been suffering the worst heat wave and drought in history. This unit allows me to leave my house set at 79 at night, but be curled up under the covers in a very cold room at night. If I were to leave it on it would probably cool into the hall and my den. For anyone worried about noise, it runs very quietly, although I do like a little background "white noise" at night. My only other advice would be to shop around for prices...I got mine for just under $600.00.

(More customer reviews)In the American Midwest we get hot summers and cold winters--and incredibly large heating and cooling bills. Wanting to reduce the temperature of our house and lower our utility bills at the same time, my wife and I invested in this beauty from Reiker, and it worked great for two years.
When it stopped working this past winter, I gave Reiker a call and asked them if there were some quick fix that I could do, to which the very abrupt woman on the phone said, "Do you have the model number, sir?"
I flipped over the remote and read to her, "MODEL: FAN-15T."
"What is that? I don't know what that is. You have to give me the model number, sir."
"That is the model number from the back of the remote," I said, but it didn't do any good.
"Sir, you have to give me the correct model number," she whined.
Knowing that they only make four fans, three of them being the same fan just in different colors, I told her which one I had, but she cut me off and said very loudly, "Sir, you have to give me the model number. We cannot help you without the model number!"
I asked her where I could find the "correct" model number, and she said that the only place that it could be found is in the owner's manual--not on the fan, the remote, or even the box that it came in.
When time allowed several weeks later, I went to our storage unit where we kept the box with all its related paraphernalia, and pulled out the owner's manual, and gave them another call this morning.
Strangely enough, the model number wasn't so important this morning. She didn't even ask for it. She didn't ask for much of anything. She did ask if I had changed the switches in the back side of the remote, to which I replied that I hadn't. She suggested I give that a try and then reset it, which I did, but was rude enough to ask her to stay on the line while I tried it with the fan. Disgusted with my desire to keep her on the line, she put me on hold for 4 minutes.
When she finally came back, she asked if I had done that, to which I replied, "Yes, but it appears to be to no avail."
Then the claws came out again. "Well, sir, do you have the receipt?"
"Yes."
Apparently not expecting anyone to still have their original receipt, she asked again, "You have the receipt?"
"Yes, I sure do."
"Well, you will have to mail the motor to . . ." and gave me an address to King of Fans in Ft Lauderdale. She then told me that I would have to mail a copy of the original receipt, the motor, my name, address, phone number, description of the problem with the fan, and the remote to them--along with a check for $37 for the King of Fans to ship it back to me.
"Whoa," I said. "You do not service your own fans? And you are going to make me pay for everything?"
"You have to pay for the shipping both ways, sir," she growled.
I told her how disappointed I was with the fan and her company, to which she had absolutely no reply. I waited for her to give some kind of answer, but she never did. I finally said, "goodbye," and she hung up as soon as the word was out of my mouth.
Now that's not what I would call great customer service. And a $379 fan should last a lot longer than two years. I'm sure that if we mailed the motor to Florida, the King of Fans would find a problem with it unrelated to anything that Reiker would cover in their "Lifetime Limited Warranty", so I believe I'll save the additional expense and frustration and buy a regular fan from a decent company.
I think, all in all, the fan may have saved us $75 in our heating and cooling bills (interesting to note that if we sent the motor, that savings would be entirely used up in the shipping), which leaves $304 that we now have spent on a very large paper weight.

(More customer reviews)I had my reservations when I first researched Solar Cynergy's solar LED accent lights or pavers, especially at their price point. However, you definitely get what you pay for as they're extremely high quality and designed for commercial use. (not your typical pack of 12 solar stake lights from Costco).

All in all, I love my set as nobody can even tell they are solar as everything is hidden from view.

Not sure why amazon says it's unavailable but I got mine from [...].
