I must admit that it astounded me and perplexed me since it was the first hand-crafted glass lamp I had ever owned and I wasn't sure where it would go in our home. But it found its way into a bedroom where it's blue and white color set the theme for a subsequent blue bedspread, blue and white walls, and blue and white curtains. Over the years this room has become the favorite of our family and visitors. The glow from the blown glass mutes and softens the light yet it is enough light to read by. Choose your color and style carefully. This is a lifetime purchase.
