It makes a statement.The mirror has a slight curve to it and I wondered how that would affect the reflection but it doesnt at all unless you look at it from far away (like 10ft), then the reflection is upside down. The reflection looks almost ... crisp?I'm not sure how to explain.For those that wear glasses, its similar to trading you old lenses for some brand new ones. As soon as you look through those brand spanking new lenses, everything just looks sharper.Thats how it seems with this mirror.I don't know if its because its new but it just looks ..sharp. It doesn't have much magnification but its enough to get the job done.

Its got a little handle/lever so you can adjust the mirror while keeping your greasy fingers off its polished, shiny surface.I haven't quite gotten used to using it yet so my mirror already bears the marks of my adjustments.

My only disappointment is the lighting. Its adequate but I was hoping for more.I have a lamp on my vanity for extra lighting that I was hoping I would no longer need so I could just have the mirror stand there on its own in all its glory.

I had a conair (not sure which model, small silver and round w 3 light settings) that I bought from bed bath and beyond a few years ago for $50. Compared to it, its a little brighter and a whole lot better looking so its still a major improvement.

I am not sending it back, it's too purty, but I wonder if there is any way to change out those LED lights for some that are a little stronger...
