(More customer reviews)This is a gorgeous and well-designed fan.The manufacturer has used quality materials to achieve first-rate performance and a beautiful look.I anticipate that it will provide my family with many years of faithful service, and draw numerous compliments for its dramatic appearance.There's just one little problem:for the first few days after installation, it SMELLS.It's not an "electrical" or "burning wires" smell, but a smell that is vaguely reminiscent of a magic marker.After doing a bit of googling, I found that this problem is rather widespread by customers who have purchased Hunter fans over the past several years.The general consensus was that apparently during production, they use either a chemical dip or some other process which coats the fan motor and takes awhile to "burn off."This supposedly creates the smell.I contacted Hunter Customer Service several times about this.The first rep contended that she had never heard of this particular problem, and said I could return the fan for a replacement.(It was at this point I did the googling.)I then contacted Hunter again and the second rep said he usually told customers who called with this complaint that the smell should go away "after 24-48 hours" of fan operation.I found this to be the case (although after about a week, I still smell the faintest hint of magic marker after running the fan on high only.It's nowhere near as noticeable as when first installed).When I browsed the internet for the best deal before I made my purchase from Amazon.com, I noticed that most merchants were offering a great price--and one even had the fan marked for "clearance."Now - after the fact - I'm wondering whether this was as a result of customer complaints about the smell.In any event - I'm keeping the fan for the reasons I mentioned in the first three sentences of this review.However, I can't give it a 5-star recommendation.

The $269.00 Three Angels Candle I bought had one Angel.The original box was busted open, the plastic wrapping on the candle was ripped open, and filled with broken blue glass.The one angel left on the candle had a smashed wing, the back of the candle had a long vertical gouge where it appears an Angel was pried off.There are other smashed/cut wax spots where another Angel appears to be hacked off.I have contacted the manufacturer to determine if there were supposed to be three sides with Angels on the Three Angel Candle.For the price it is what I expected.Despite the ruined condition of the candle, how do you explain the broken fragments of blue glass scattered in the box and inside the candle wrapping that frightened my wife and daughter?I cannot believe it is the manufacturer. Another online violation, what a shame.The candle as depicted was exactly what I was looking for as a symbol of a loving sister lost young to cancer.I wish I'd found the manufacturer sooner and ordered from them.

I had intially bought a Kenmore 12,000 BTU based on Consumer Reports and found that it blew cool air, and was quiet, but I wanted cold, icy-like air. I live in South Texas as well and have been suffering the worst heat wave and drought in history. This unit allows me to leave my house set at 79 at night, but be curled up under the covers in a very cold room at night. If I were to leave it on it would probably cool into the hall and my den. For anyone worried about noise, it runs very quietly, although I do like a little background "white noise" at night. My only other advice would be to shop around for prices...I got mine for just under $600.00.

(More customer reviews)In the American Midwest we get hot summers and cold winters--and incredibly large heating and cooling bills. Wanting to reduce the temperature of our house and lower our utility bills at the same time, my wife and I invested in this beauty from Reiker, and it worked great for two years.
When it stopped working this past winter, I gave Reiker a call and asked them if there were some quick fix that I could do, to which the very abrupt woman on the phone said, "Do you have the model number, sir?"
I flipped over the remote and read to her, "MODEL: FAN-15T."
"What is that? I don't know what that is. You have to give me the model number, sir."
"That is the model number from the back of the remote," I said, but it didn't do any good.
"Sir, you have to give me the correct model number," she whined.
Knowing that they only make four fans, three of them being the same fan just in different colors, I told her which one I had, but she cut me off and said very loudly, "Sir, you have to give me the model number. We cannot help you without the model number!"
I asked her where I could find the "correct" model number, and she said that the only place that it could be found is in the owner's manual--not on the fan, the remote, or even the box that it came in.
When time allowed several weeks later, I went to our storage unit where we kept the box with all its related paraphernalia, and pulled out the owner's manual, and gave them another call this morning.
Strangely enough, the model number wasn't so important this morning. She didn't even ask for it. She didn't ask for much of anything. She did ask if I had changed the switches in the back side of the remote, to which I replied that I hadn't. She suggested I give that a try and then reset it, which I did, but was rude enough to ask her to stay on the line while I tried it with the fan. Disgusted with my desire to keep her on the line, she put me on hold for 4 minutes.
When she finally came back, she asked if I had done that, to which I replied, "Yes, but it appears to be to no avail."
Then the claws came out again. "Well, sir, do you have the receipt?"
"Yes."
Apparently not expecting anyone to still have their original receipt, she asked again, "You have the receipt?"
"Yes, I sure do."
"Well, you will have to mail the motor to . . ." and gave me an address to King of Fans in Ft Lauderdale. She then told me that I would have to mail a copy of the original receipt, the motor, my name, address, phone number, description of the problem with the fan, and the remote to them--along with a check for $37 for the King of Fans to ship it back to me.
"Whoa," I said. "You do not service your own fans? And you are going to make me pay for everything?"
"You have to pay for the shipping both ways, sir," she growled.
I told her how disappointed I was with the fan and her company, to which she had absolutely no reply. I waited for her to give some kind of answer, but she never did. I finally said, "goodbye," and she hung up as soon as the word was out of my mouth.
Now that's not what I would call great customer service. And a $379 fan should last a lot longer than two years. I'm sure that if we mailed the motor to Florida, the King of Fans would find a problem with it unrelated to anything that Reiker would cover in their "Lifetime Limited Warranty", so I believe I'll save the additional expense and frustration and buy a regular fan from a decent company.
I think, all in all, the fan may have saved us $75 in our heating and cooling bills (interesting to note that if we sent the motor, that savings would be entirely used up in the shipping), which leaves $304 that we now have spent on a very large paper weight.

(More customer reviews)I had my reservations when I first researched Solar Cynergy's solar LED accent lights or pavers, especially at their price point. However, you definitely get what you pay for as they're extremely high quality and designed for commercial use. (not your typical pack of 12 solar stake lights from Costco).

All in all, I love my set as nobody can even tell they are solar as everything is hidden from view.

Not sure why amazon says it's unavailable but I got mine from [...].

I have never been known as a methodical follower of directions, and this was definitely part of my problem. Every time I went wrong, I went back to the instructions and could determine the error of my ways. Everything was there on the (many many sheets of ) paper. It was just kind of, um, obscure. The instructions are not exactly laid out step by step. It is more like a diagram with a few steps on it, and on the picture it looks like they all happen simultaneously. There are no warnings where the manufacturere says - MAKE SURE you use the side with the larger holes or DON'T try to put the camlocks in before the screws. That kind of stuff helps me. Because I had to go backwards several times. In the end, I was proud of my finished piece and happy with the purchase. The instructions could be better for people who don't do stuff like this all the time.

The fan blades fold up so you can't see them in case you don't want to clean the blades or if my mom comes over and she starts yelling at me to "Clean this house!" I put it over the bed in our bedroom even though hubby says the wind tickles his nose when he's sleeping. So I just extend one fan blade and turn it on and hubby doesn't notice! I only wish I could retract the lamp when I'm only using the fan but not the light. Maybe the people at the Fan Company can make that.

(More customer reviews)Received this comforter set.Color is a light aqua, not light blue, and not overy bright.Fits my color scheme nicely.Dimensions for the pillows are incorrect on all websites!!!The euro pillow cases measures 26x26 but a 30x30 pillow will fill it in very nicely.There is only one 18x18 filled pillow, NOT TWO.The other two filled decorator pillows are 24x14 and 12x16. The depicted pictures of the pillows are more accurate than the stated measurements. The only down side for this set is that it is dry clean only, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Otherwise, I really like the print and the pillows for this comforter set.

(More customer reviews)The only bad thing i can say about this item is that one of the rubber foots/feet came off when putting the item into its area. It was resolved by just putting the foot back where it broke from and it doesnt wobble or anything. I dont know if they sell replacement feet or not but it wasnt worth my time trying to get it fixed when i had it for 2 hours.

This unit is wonderful to look at and i enjoy the large size and the ability to look into the fridge and seeing all my wonderful bottles of wine! The racks only really hold the normal sized bottles and not the large ones or some of my champagne bottles. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how open bottles can still be put back into the fridge without spilling or leaking (by not being on its side but at an angle), but that was the biggest selling point for me with this fridge. I looked for others and could not find any with this feature under 1k.

A drawback: the door doesnt quite seem to open far enough to easily allow the racks to come out. Not a big deal but could be for some people.

Another possible drawback: when the fridge was first turned on it kind of had a whining "fridge running" kind of noise that was louder than the normal fridge. That went away and now has the same sounds as my normal fridge does when it turns on to keep the temperature.

Pros: cost effective solution for new chandelier, excellent appearance
Cons:takes a bit of tweaking to get the glass globes to line up
STRONGLY recommend also purchasing some chain pliers from a local vendor or through Amazon.Makes adjusting the chain length much easier.
Highly recommend the Del Mar vendor as a reseller through Amazon, their turn around time and service was excellent.

(More customer reviews)Got a terrific deal on these mid-winter and just set them up last week (March).They had to go through about 3 day-night cycles before they charged fully, and now they look terrific.The cans are constructed from metal and glass, not plastic.Note these are path-marker lights, not lighting to read by.That's what I wanted anyway.The light they give off is blue-white instead of the usual anemic yellow from most solar LEDs.I am really happy with these lights.

(More customer reviews)The fan looks beautiful and well made...but it can't be installed yet.BIG NOTE: This fan was missing all the equipment for remote control capabilities.In addition, the parts list and install manual totally omit the existance of remote control capabilities.Both Amazon and Hunter websites designate this model as remote control included.I called Hunter and they confirmed that this model 23768 should include remote equipment.Hunter will ship out remote equipment directly to me - but it may take 2 weeks because of inventory.I will advise Amazon of this issue.

Re-reviewed...After a year, I still love this fan.It is so beautiful to look at and is very quiet and powerful. Hunter did correct the missing remote/sensor problem without hassel.

notes about install: initially, the 3 remote fan speeds were very slow - this was only because the pull chain was set at the low speed; we adjusted the pull chain and now the 3 remote speeds work wonderfully.

Added bonus: the on/off button on the remote also dims the light.My daughter discovered this on accident.You need to hold the button down and the light will start to dim; it takes a little patience to master, but it can dim all the way down to a night light.The design on the bowl makes this an extremely beautiful night light!

Watch amazon's varied pricing on this...I got it for way less than $250 on amazon without a lightning deal.

(More customer reviews)I bought two Matthews fans after seeing how great and unique they look.The fans took along time to come 6-8 weeks.These fans produce great air flow but at least when new produce a very annoying at times intolerable high pitched fan motor whine at all speeds.They can only be used with a fully variable switch which is known for producing motor hum.Quiet 3 speed controls do not work with Matthews fans.Customer service was quite rude and unhelpful despite extensive information out there that variable speed controls produce motor hum their response was to "break it in"Having to do it again, save yourself the trouble buy another cool looking fan with ability for quiet control.
