(More customer reviews)Yes, it looks cool but the construction quality does not match its price. Don't be fooled by the description that says it's made of a special "parchment," this thing is made of paper that is perforated and folded to give it its shape. Even worse, the color on ours (we got the red flame one) doesn't match the picture, it's a light red rather than deep, rich red. The plastic pieces that attach to the top and bottom were also a disappointment; I expected better quality plastics than PVC and they're not even painted to match the color of the lamp so they look out of place (and ugly). They could have a least painted them. Finally, the light switch is on the floor so you'll have to look for it in the dark.Our other "paper" lamp has a big round push-on switch that makes it easy to turn on (even by stepping on it), so no points for functionality here. Yes, it looks good when it's lit in the dark but it's an ambient light, you won't be doing any reading with it. It works for ambiance, hence the two stars in this review, but the fact that the instructions say this lamp will need a "lot of TLC" (it actually does say that!) make me regret spending so much money on it. I suggest purchasing something sturdier if you're going to spend this much on a lamp.
