I didn't look closely at the picture and thought I was purchasing a "rustic end-table".Snakes and ornamental top do not a rustic table make.It's big enough for 2 or 3 to sit and have a meal.This was a happy mistake.The color is deep and rich.It is a conversation piece because of the detailing.I actually have it in the end-table position next to my couch and while a little bit tall, it still works well for guests to use.It was very easy to put together but it was a little disconcerting the 2nd shelf didn't feel secure.Once I put the top on everything pulled together just fine.I purchased the lamp they recommended.The lamp is a little smaller then I expected but looks great.I have a small metal sculpture of a violin player sitting in a chair and it's the perfect amount of decoration.This is a beautiful, fun piece.
